MARIO AND LUIGI

The best known characters of Nintendo are probably Mario and Luigi. They are best known for their popular game Super Mario Bros. I'm sure that everyone visiting this page must have played some sort of Mario game at some point in their life. If you haven't i'm gob smacked and you could always play the 3 different Mario games that i have included on my GAMES page. They are worth checking out but i warn you now, they are highly addictive.

Anyways, on this page, i want to show you how the 2 main icons of Nintendo have developed from the olden days to the more modern games now available. I got some pictures of old and new Mario and Luigi and you can make the comparisons and judgements yourselves. If you want to, you would post your opinion on the forum page so that everyone could share their opinions too!

Very old Mario and Luigi

This image of Mario and Luigi was more common on the box consoles (the really cheap ones) so thats why the graphics are kinda bad. Also, the graphics then were generally poor thus giving the picture a more square and unhuman like look to it.

Old Mario and Luigi

The graphics and the general look of this image has drastically improved from the last one. You can actually tell Mario and Luigi apart now :) These look like the characters of the Mario time game. I love that game :)

Modern Mario and Luigi

Mario and Luigi look very 3 dimensional here. These good graphics can be found on the more modern versions of Mario games, such as Nintendo Wii games, Nintendo DS games etc. I think that i prefer the second image of Mario and Luigi because although it's 2D, it gives a more subtle feel to the picture.
